This is a fantastic pub for a weekend catch up with mates. There are a few food options, from the fancy restaurant to quality pub food, and also a mix of different bar areas. If you're in the mood for a pie, I can highly recommend it. Even if you dont live in the area, its worth a trip to Rozelle to experience the 3 weeds
I went here recently for my brothers birthday lunch. This is another one of those little Rozelle gems, tucked away on the back streets. The front bar is well laid out and welcoming but around the back is the real draw. A large, high ceilinged dining area opens out onto a lounge area and a restaurant off to the side. The dining/bar area is laid out with rows of long tables where guests can order food of they dont want to venture into the restaurant (though the multi-award winning restaurant is on my list of places to go back to after sampling the bar food that day). The back bar & bistro where we had our lunch has incredible cathedral ceilings complete with modern chandeliers. The lounge area attracted a young family when we arrived at lunch who were replaced by several groups of young, relaxed drinkers into the evening (yes, we stayed that long. Two of our part ordered the chicken roasted with oregano & garlic, pancetta, bocconcini, & fresh fig pizza and theread more
It's within waling distance but to be honest I don't get there as regularly as I possibly should. It's a nice looking pub, with a great feel, but is a little pricey, especially the food. My best nights there have been when the back room has been hired out for a function. The staff are always pretty good, even when some of the patrons are at their worst. The front bar, on the couch during the day is my favourite time to visit. They also pour an okay Guinness.
