If you want backpackers who have very little idea or experience about being removalists (let alone speak English or understand eachother)....go for it! Be ready to pay more because they take longer. This was THE WORST moving experience of my life and I wish I had never heard of this company! Large scratch on my rental property floor and then the 2 guys couldn't get my mattress upstairs! This was the pits!
Hi Kylzee, Thanks for your feedback, but Riverbank Removals dissolved as a company and went out of business back in October of 2015. Were not sure if you have Riverbank Removals accidentally confused with another company you may have used, but Riverbank Removals is no longer in buisness. All the best.
They just never turned up! And all phone numbers went straight to voicemail. Disgraceful. Called up another removalist company and told them that our removalists didn't show up, they asked 'it wasn't Riverbank Removals was it'. I laughed. They said they get many calls a week from disgruntled people like myself. Apparently if they overbook on purpose. DO NOT USE.
This guy hires a truck and then hires backpackers! A two hour job turned into a 6 hour job and they threatened to lock our stuff in the van until the extra two hour period (which hadn't been worked yet) was paid for in full. The owner Chris made my girlfriend cry over the phone and when the staff were confronted about the time blow out they explained that they were just backpackers and to their credit they were doing the best they could. The way the matter was dealt with after the move was even worse. AVOID AT ALL COSTS
DO NOT USE THESE MOVERS!! This was the SINGLE WORST moving experience I have ever had in my LIFE and we have moved internationally twice! Took them 6 hours to move three quarters of our house. They refused to go back and get the rest, then charged us $1000 dollars for there appalling service. Items left on the lawn. Items damaged. Furniture just dumped anywhere in the house, and a manager that clearly has no idea what customer service is. Do yourselves a favour and avoid these guys like the plague!
