Well, this was another adventure, at least for a place that has been around for as long as I have, but despite having grown up in the area, never actually having been there. I guess it was time to rectify that situation, and rectify it I did. Well, needless to say, that the pizzas were great, but I probably should have expected that from a place that is almost as old as I am. The certainly do a great pizza, and at a decent price as well.
Up until tonight I have always rated Romans Salisbury with high regard. I ordered a large deep pan Bbq chicken. I noticed when I got home that the base of the pizza was really thin and burnt. The pizza was falling apart. I called them back and the lady who answered was lovely and said not to worry and just bring it back. Once I got there, the manager did his "inspection" of my pizza and determined it to be fine. He educated me on how pizzas are made and questioned me if I have ordered deep pan before? I had to reassure the manager with a shop full of customers that in my 20 years of eating pizzas I had in fact eaten deep pan before. 30 seconds of silence had passed and it was evident that he was not willing to replace the pizza. I calmly left the pizza with the manager and did not ask for a refund. What ever happened to customer satisfaction? Instead of patronising your customers take feed back on board? I ordered and paided for 1 x chicken schnitzel and 1 x beef schnitzel with chips and gravy delivery. I waited well over an hour and when my dinner was finally delivered my partner was very dissatisfied on eating her beef schnitzel as it was cold, chewy, the chips were quite cold and she did not even recieve her tub of gravy which we had paid for. She spat half her schnitzel out as she could not eat it as it was chewy and cold. She rang up to speak to the manager who was very rude and treated her like she was nothing. The manager did not even want to speak to her on the phone and kept saying that there was nothing more he could do and ended up hanging the phone up on us. He got his $35 that's all he cared about. So we called back the for the second time asking what the managers name was and he refused to give us his name and told us that he didn't want us to order from his store again and to stop crying and whinging about his food. I had to wait over and hour to get my meal when it comes to me my chips were cold. My schnitzel was very chewy, I asked for it not over cooked. That was also cold. They didn't put any gravy in with it. Then when I rang up to complain the manager was very rude. He was Indian and all he was happy about was that he had got his money. It was the shittest meal I have ever had I had to spit half of my schnitzel out because it was that chewy and tasted like rubber. I would not recommend wasting your money on this store as they were expensive and you expect to at least have a decent tasting meal. It was the worst snitchzel I have ever had. Never again.
