The dining experience was let down by the quality of service. From the beginning it was unsettling. No smiles, little help with explaining the food, and no attention after the meal had arrived. On several occasions we had to leave the table to find a wait staff. Further, an order for a dish that was to be ignited resulted in one without a flame. We were told that the kitchen was "too busy" to light it. The meal was sent back twice only to be returned without a flame. On the third time the dish was ignited but by that time, others at the table had already finished their meal. I have been to countless Thai restaurants around Australia and have found that they usually excel not only in the quality of their food but in their service. The Rose Garden was by far the most unpleasant in terms of the latter. We could not sit back and properly enjoy or assess the food such was the effect of the poor service. The next day we decided to try other Thai restaurant. What a contrast!
