I informed the shop owner that I would be late to pick up my bicycle as I work away after they could not fix my back breaks. Upon picking it up they charged me $40 storage fees and $20 labour and never mentioned to me once about the fees when I was in the store aswell as on the phone to them not to mention my bike was in worst condition. Shop else where people these guys are a fraud.
Worse customer service ever & bad quality equipment = AVOID THIS SHOP!
I bought a pair of pedals 4 weeks ago from Scarborough Beach Cycles, for ~$35 cash, and the pedals are already faulty = this gives you an idea of the poor quality gear those people are selling! Scarborough Beach Cycles staff did not want to replace them nor refund me, because I had no receipt... a great example of their poor customer service! I wanted to support & deal with a local shop, but I am now sure I will get better gear, cheaper price, and much better customer service
Had a puncture near by - my last c02 failed - walked to their shop and asked if I could borrow a pump... They looked at me like I was some kind of idiot? They said we can pump up your tyre for a gold coin donation for charity... I didn't have any money on me but said fair enough I live a couple of ks away I can come back in ten min to give u your donation... They didn't want to no about it.... Pathetic!... Little did they know I was new to the area and was looking for a new local shop....Make sure u have a gold coin or else you can walk home... And wld still ignore you! :)
Go anywhere else but here!
Did you try saying please? I was in last week and politely asked if they would please pump up my tyre and there was no problem at all! They even commented on how nice it was for someone to actually say please and how everyone who doesn't is asked to make a gold coin charity donation. It doesn't take much to be polite.
