Seppeltsfield

Fino at Seppeltsfield is the restaurant in this gorgeous winery. We loved Fino at Willunga so during our Barossa stay we couldn't resist giving Fino at Seppeltsfield a try. The Seppeltsfield complex is gorgeous and Fino fits in well. As expected the service was exemplary as was the food. Everything that we had was delicious. A superb way to spend an afternoon.

A lot of winery cellar doors are for a certain 'class' of people: the rich and famous who will spend thousands of dollars without thinking. Seppeltsfield isn't like this at all - and it has never been in the many times I've been there.
Last time we visited it was a busy day, and yet somehow a staff member magically appeared to welcome us and answer a couple of questions about their displays (they have 100+ year old port here, and can get it for your year of birth!!) and then offer us a tasting.
We had our 9 year old with us who gets bored (fairly enough) with tastings, but she was given the same attention as we were including being offered a wine glass with "Children's wine" in it (raspberry cordial!) - which she ...read more
