Came back for the Sichuan Festival Buffet which just so happened to be the last night of Chef Bo Sorenson who has been feeding us and guests of Shangri La for 11 years with some seriously epic dishes! The buffet as usual was a work of art with some hand made noodles featuring flavours of Sichuan. It was a nice moment to see him before he finished up the next day :(
One of the most breakthtaking properties having seen the Royal Suite which is just pure luxury. The property itself is an icon in the city skyline and the buffet dining at Cafe Mix is second to none with beautiful decor interiors, fresh seafood, hot food buffet, salad buffet and a large selection of desserts. Destined to provide a memorable experience when visiting Sydney.
Came here for high tea and Anna's mess. Both delicious. You can't smash Anna's Mess if you eat it in the hotel so you have to get it as takeaway. High tea was not overly sweet like others. Comes with unlimited pots of tea/refills, per high tea ordered, so you can try every variety of tea if you wanted! Service was attentive, friendly and efficient.

We stayed in one of the Executive rooms which meant we got our our check-in and complimentary drinks and canapés were served in the afternoon, along with breakfast in the morning. The cucumber water here was something I became obsessed with. A morning dip in the luxurious pool (cucumber water in hand) was a lovely way to start the next day
I recently stayed here a few weeks ago for a business trip. Anyway, upon checking in, the difference must have been the king size bed but again when comparing to another colleague who was also staying there, he also had a king size bed. Spacious room, bathroom, lots of pillows. The only addition would probably be the carpet; I feel it may need an uplift to brighten up the room a little. The highlight for me would have to be the buffet breakfast, by far one of the nicely presented buffet in terms of presentation, selections that Ive been too. Service was great, no issues.
