Great food, excellent service. Highly recommend if you are after fresh, healthy Mexican food!

The smokin' kitchen is a pretty nice little mexican place and my friends and I go there for dinner almost every weekend. The food is Ok and reasonably priced but the best part is the customer service.

Yes the food is pretty simple stuff amd includes mexican food (of course) but it is a pretty decent place to go to for just a nice easy meal.

I often wondered when I would walk by why it was hardly ever busy. Now I know. When my friend and I went we were the only customers we ordered, paid upfront and sat down at out table. It took 20 mins just for them to bring our cans of cokes and glasses to us and then another 20 mins for our burritos and side of chips. The chips were undercooked and had no seasoning. The salad was soggy it consisted of iceberg lettuce a slice of tomato, a small slice of capsicum and red onion. The burrito consisted mainly of rice and the meat was questionable. Yes the price was reasonable (if the ingredients were fresh )but they were not and it's not worth it.

Service was good, and the food was good. And a reasonable price compared to other Mexican restaurants.

We visited the Smokin Kitchen this week. I had Grilled Barramundi and my friend had Salmon. The Barrumundi had some sort of batter (not sure what exactly was "Grilled" about it?) and it was full of bones. 2 very thin pieces, which were severely overcooked and possibly frozen as the fish was HARD. Served with "Seasonal Vegies" - mashed potato, a couple of pieces of undercooked broccoli and a heap of carrot.

My friend's Salmon had the same "hard" texture about it, and was brown in colour. Very unappetizing. The salad was not that great looking.

For $18.50 and $18.00 respectively, I would have expected the food to be much better than this. On the upside, the 4-year-old's beer battered chips were nice, as was the aioli (although very garlicy)
