I am a trained and qualified venomous, and non-venomous, snake catcher. I am the holder of a current Damage Mitigation Permit (through DEHP), which allows the taking and relocation of snakes (back into the wild) under the Nature Conservation Act (Qld). All snakes caught must be released on the same day as capture, back into the wild, within proximity of its capture (taking into regard the safety of the public). In essence, this means I will generally release the snakes to either: D'Aguilar Forest; Enoggera Dam Reservoir; or Mt Coot-tha Forest.
This service is for the benefit of residents of The Gap (4061). This is not my full-time occupation, and as such, I may not always be in a position to provide this service. However, please do not hesitate to call. If I am unable to assist you I will endeavour to provide you with contact details for an alternate service provider.
Please note that my Damage Mitigation Permit authorises only the removal of snakes upon the request of the occupier, when human safety and well-being is compromised and not merely when the person is inconvenienced by its presence.

As it occurred:
Setting off to collect the eggs for the mornings breakfast, from the chook shed, twas a typical brisk and clear morning in The Gap. Upon my arrival at the shed, all the chooks appeared distressed and frantic. As I opened the chook shed door I was nearly bowled over by my beloved flock of hens; however Pretty Penny was not amongst those who fled. read more
