For some reason this practice is having trouble holding onto Doctors so don't expect to set up a relationship with a family Doctor here.
This place is only good if you need a script or referal or something simple as you can get in quickly & rarey wait for long. So many young, inexperienced DR’s with clearly little life experience so often come off as patronising & uncaring or at times outright rude. Don’t bother making a complaint either, you’ll just get a passive aggressive ‘I’m sorry that you don’t know anything’ style letter in response. I know they have to cover their butts but lying & being rude about their mistake is pretty immature!
I went there in a small emergency with a badly lacerated hand. I am not even a patient there and went on the recommendation of a neighbour. The staff were extremely courteous and helpful and I was given some priority and received 5 sutures in the hand almost immediately and was given a follow-up appointment to remove the sutures later. Fantastic service, especially to a person who is not even a normal patient at the practice.. many thanks
Disgusting service. Made an appointment for my daughter at 5.45pm today at 6.30pm she still hadn't been seen and they took 3 people that came in after us before her. Reception staff very very unorganized and unprofessional
Dear Sal Ly, It was unfortunate that you can a poor experience here. We like to provide a comprehensive and safe service for our patients. At times our doctors do get caught up in an emergency, or some patients are more complicated than what is booked for. Invariably our doctors can run late. We do suggest you talk to our receptionist who would be happy to fit you in with another doctor who is running on time and may see you. Alternatively, we are happy that you ring the surgery before your appointment to ensure the doctor you are booked in with is running on time.
My apology for the staff performance. On the day, you did have a staff in training. We like to give opportunity for those untrained as a medical receptionist. Despite supporting them they are still unlike our experienced receptionists. We may reconsider who we provide opportunity in the future. Thank you for your feedback.
You would be are glad to know we perform much better than many other practices in 2015 survey. As being an accredited practice we are compared to other practices in many aspects. Please find the result of the survey attach. This is the average of at least over 240 of our patients, and so you won’t get bias view from a limited number of patients. The survey is at random and so reflects our true performance. I hope this puts things into more perspective, and I hope your negative review does not affect the great service we generally provide for our patients and people in the area. The orange is our performance, and the black is compared to other practices.
My daughter and I have been using the SMG as our primary physicians for about 3 years. I will admit I once waited about an hour past my appointment to be seen. I knew the reason was because the doctor gave a thorough and comprehensive consultation to me and all those that came before me. I have always found them to be extremely holistic in the care they provide and would not hesitate to refer others to their service. They go out of their way to provide a range of cost effective/bulk billed services. As a nurse I understand the importance of a good working relationship with a GP, and can not fault any I have seen at this practice.
