Southern Hotel

We very regularly enjoy a meal at The Southern and can't fault the service or the meals. I had the Nutella waffles and you've seriously got to try them!

The meals are such good value for the quality and I think that they really over deliver. I challenge anyone to find such good quality in Toowoomba for the same quality.

It's also great when a big game is on & you can't beat the atmosphere with the surround sound and big screens. We often meet friends at the bar and grab a yum cha platter or chilli wings.

My wife and myself had dinner at this hotel last evening with four other members of our family. We are in town all week for our daughter\'s wedding. Despite our order being taken prior to the rest of the party, our meals turned up as the rest of the party where finishing theirs. And to boot, mine was partially cold. I asked to see the duty management who attended. They offerred to have my meal replated and also offerred a complimentary round of drinks. My meal was sent back and we declined the drinks and the offer to replate my meal. Incidently, my meal price was refunded. As folk in our party were finishing meals, wait staff appearred and would whisk the plates away not waiting for the rest of our party to finish. Asking folk who are still eating to pass finished plates is rather unprofessional. Later, the folk in our party who had ordered dessert had to enquire as to when they might see it.
