Have not been to the restaurant, however there is a small kiosk around the side also run by the same people. They serve three burgers from here and coffee and a few cakes. Both the wagyu burger And the maple fried chicken burger and the best burgers I have ever eaten. The chicken burger has an incredible taste combination that you really have to try. The chef, Damien, really has mastered the art of burgers
You know the song that goes "If you like Pinacolada's" If you do the Steel Bar and Grill have this in Dessert format I was invited as a guest from the Entertainment Book and Steel Bar and Grill to try their winter menu A classy venue,I was impressed with the ambience of this place It gets a "A" for presentation of the food The winter menu consists Mushroom Wonton Risotto,Cabbage Pork Roulade,Truffle Mushroom Risotto,Twice cooked lamb rump, 2 cheeses and Pinacolada dessert What stood out for me was the Pinacolada dessert (obvious reasons why!) and the Twice Cooked Lamb Rump (lentils are a nice touch but the green pea purée made this dish so much better!) The Asian side green Veges dish, for sum unknown reason,I really liked! My partner felt it was a little salty but I liked it the way it is,it wasn't salty to me If you want to impress someone, here is a good venue to try
Great service for drinks on a Friday night! They take your orders at the table where you can pay as well and then it's delivered back to your table too, so if you're extremely lazy like I am - this is perfect! The place is decked out really nice as well and their bathrooms are super cool!
This restaurant is located on Carrington Street and is within walking distance to Wynyard Station. We visited here to sample the Festival Feasts menu. To be shared between two people, you get a choice of entree and main course or a main course and a dessert. You get a side of salad to share and a glass of white or red wine each. There are three options for each course. Service is on point here. The waiter was so helpful but never too intrusive. Always on hand if we needed anything, he was very friendly. Water glasses were always topped up. Happy to substitute the wine for a non alcoholic beverage for me. We sampled the Tempura Zucchini Flowers, Oakey Reserve Black Angus Sirloin, and Coconut Sago. The flavours of all the dishes were lovely. The zucchini flowers had a nice light filling with lemon and cheese. The steaks were a little overdone but were still tasty nonetheless. The sago was so yummy and also loved the tuile which was sweet and crispy.
