My elderly mother has been visiting this clinic for a number of years now, as she thought the doctors were very nice, experienced and very helpful. Unfortunately things have recently changed very much for the worse. Their new booking system meant that she arrived for no less than 3 appointments, but turned away as they couldn't find her in the 'system'. On the third misplaced appointment, she asked to speak to a practice manager, and was referred to a lady who said she was 'one of many practice managers', who was extremely rude and unsympathetic to my mother, stating that 'she could go elsewhere as they have plenty of patients to replace her', meanwhile the reception staff were smiling & laughing in the background. On top of this, the manager wouldn't give her name or details. If you are looking for a good general practice in Sunnybank Hills, I highly recommend either "MyClinic" at Sunnybank Hills Shoppingtown or the Sunnybank Hills Medical Centre at Noelana St, Sunnybank Hills. Both are very good, the medical centre has several doctors and I find the reception staff to be pleasant and accomodating and take their job seriously/responsibly. They bulk bill too and there is a chemist attached too.
The Sunnybank Hills General Practice should be ashamed of themselves!
If I could put zero stars - I would. This place is an absolute joke. The doctors are pleasant enough however the reception staff are the most incompetent and rude bunch of people I've ever encountered.
I've been going to this place for a while, as it is my closest doctors and every time I have been horrified with the way the reception people speak to customers both over the phone and face to face.
While trying to make an appointment this morning, I got fed up being talked down to and I advised the staff on the phone that I would be taking my business elsewhere, because of the staff. The staff defended saying that they were not rude and then stated that I should "come in there and say that!".
Do yourself a favour and avoid this place unless you enjoy being disrespected and threatened while trying to make an appointment.
I too have had a shocking experience with this clinic whereby my elderly mother was treated very poorly by one of their practice managers, and reception sat back laughing. They need to show some respect - maybe train their staff in customer relations and service. The way this practice manager was acting, it was like she was CEO of some major organisation. I hope they one day realise where they actually sit in the grand scheme of things.
