If you think that Carl and Jo still own SVS Autocare, you are sadly mistaken! Don't make the same mistake as we did as the new owners do not come close to having the integrity that Carl and Jo built the business upon!

We recommended over-sized pistons & re-bore of the engine block
This was out of your budget, so we fitted 4 new standard pistons & rings
We mentioned your fuel injectors were faulty. AT NO STAGE did we say that no further work would be required

Our biggest mistake was keeping to your instructions
When your vehicle returned after losing power, we contacted our ins. company submitting a claim, we knew you needed the vehicle for work
We sourced a replacement engine with only 130,000kms
Your hire vehicle was covered by our insurance
The insurance company informed us you claimed for a hire vehicle prior to the actual date of the claim, this was deemed to be false claim & was declined
A letter of demand from you was inappropriate as the claim had been accepted by the ins. company
We advised that your coolant bottle was leaking previously, but you did not want to replace it. Our instructions from the insurance company was to pass this cost onto you to maintain the vehicle, otherwise no warranty would be offered. It was in your best interest to do this
Our staff, who worked under the former owners, insist that they would not have absorbed this cost as you suggest
The engine failure was a direct result of the faulty fuel injectors
The fuel injectors were independently checked & tested, 3 of the 4 had failed
You mention that you would never come back to our workshop, yet on Aug 2, Mick was at our workshop & asked us to find a rattling noise. Our staff immediately took the vehicle in had a look for you & found an exhaust bracket was rattling (this was mentioned to you previously) we offered to fix it then, but you were pressed for time. There was no charge
I would recommend SVS to anyone on the Sunny Coast who has a European or prestige car. Their specialist European technicians are experts and so your car is safe in their hands.
Jo (the owner) really prides herself on the high level of customer service her and the team give. I was really impressed. My husband bought a second hand (2 years old) Golf GTI from Brisbane and it needed it serviced but we didn't want to have to drive to Brisbane to have it serviced.
