We had enrolled our toddler to learn taekwondo, we went overseas and had requested to stop the membership, due to my job loss we didn't go back there, though taekwondo world kept direct debits going without informing us. When we requested to refund and cancel the additional payments which outer child didn't attend for, they were plain cold and said we have to fill another form to cancel and they will charge another extra month and also charge for uniform, which usually they say is free at joining, anyhow very rude service and just say it's our policy. I will be taking them to fair trading. I myself did taekwondo training at irontiger castle hill, much better and honest business, if you want your child to learn honesty and discipline with taekwondo, go to irontiger.
AUTHENTIC. This one word sums up my experience to-date with Taekwondo World. It was evident to me from Day 1, our highly trained taekwondo Masters and Grand Master were genuinely passionate and dedicated teachers of their art. I have enjoyed not only the physical knowledge of taekwondo that they impart but also the effort put into explaining theory of a specific movement or pattern, which they have skillfully mastered from undergoing specialised training from premier taekwondo focused universities in Korea. Due to this fact our classes are always carefully thought out and replicate many aspects of being trained like as though we are students of the art in Korea. Even our grading sessions and black belt conferment ceremonies are infused with aspects of the Korean rituals and culture. Our club is truly the real deal - genuine people, teachings and the overall experience. I look forward to getting my black belt in the near future and continue to learnread more
I highly recommend Taekwondo World to anyone who is wanting to get in shape and have fun whilst doing it. I have found the staff and all the masters very knowledgeable and welcoming. The facilities are second to none and class sizes are great. For warm up we are in one big group but then we are divided into several much smaller groups and I have found this is fantastic as we are given more attention from the masters to improve our technique. If you want to learn taekwondo this is definitely the best place to do it.
I started training at Taekwondo World In April 2012 with my 7 year old son. I used to love to run and go to the gym but spent the last 5 years pushing a stroller or walking at toddler pace. I love playing outdoors with my children but still the weight crept on. I tried going back to the gym but found it too boring. I tried running again, but I had too much pain in my hips and feet. Then, I walked into Taekwondo World at Castle Hill. Immediately I felt at home. So 12 months ago I started training with their amazing Masters (whose skill has to been seen to be believed). At first I was totally hopeless (really). I was 39, never tried Martial Arts, was overweight, inflexible and unfit. From the beginning, physically and mentally it was really tough. Sometimes even painful but every day it is fun. Along with the other students, we are like one big family and I love it. It is hard to express how challenging this journey has been so far. I used to be fit & healthy, but kids slow you downread more
Taekwondo World has literally changed my life! When I saw how much my son was enjoying it I was inspired to join up myself. At the time, I was grossly overweight, totally lacking in self confidence, and had never been interested in sports; but the masters were so friendly and encouraging, and the staff-to-student ratio was so high that it wasn't intimidating so I decided to give it a go. Now, a year later, I am 24 kilos lighter and for the first time in my life I actually enjoy my sport! I regularly attend the adult classes, and both of my kids are thoroughly enjoying the Little Tigers and family classes which are perfectly tailored to their age groups. The masters are very knowledgeable, tireless, and incredibly patient with students of all ages and abilities. Whether you are doing it for fitness, to study the art, or just to get out and do something as a family, Taekwondo World is the place!
