I'm glad i returned for the food. The veal Scallopine was recommended and it didn't let me down. The veal was tender and delicious! My wife had the chicken schnitzel which the kids ate most of because it was so soft. And of course the coffee was great once again, especially accompanied by a choc tart. I'd be happy return over again.
I came here a couple of weeks ago on a busy day with a couple of friends. The waitresses were more than happy to make room for us and we were treated like family.
I loved the great atmosphere, lively, South American music and the food and coffee made it all worthwhile.
I will definitely be back!
I used to be a regular of this place about three years ago, until coffee started to look and taste like dirty water and service wasn't that good. Few days ago a friend told me to go back, he recomended to get a coffee and ask for a corn fritters. I did and I can't explain the experience of having one of the best coffees in long time. About the corn fritters, well, I'll be going back for more. New faces, new energy, great service.
What a nice place! We arrived late in the afternoon and the Barista was more than happy to fire up the machine. The coffee was number one! The service was friendly and accomodating. My children loved walking through the garden. And it just felt like home. I'll be back to experience the menu.
Great experience... 5+. Recently, re-opened with a New owner, Chef and Manager. I found the food exceptional and first class. The staff were happy and friendly which add to the experience. What makes the Avenue a draw card is the beautiful alfresco garden setting. It is as though you are walking into the "Secret Garden," and just to finish off, the cakes are to die for. Until next time..... :)
