Atmosphere is ok. For the price, the food is pretty average. Drinks are ok but pretty expensive and the staff are pretty slow to serve even when they are quiet. It feels a bit like a old pub trying to look like a hipster roof top bar. To be clear, I love old pubs. They aren't trying to be something they are not. The prices also reflect this.
The crowd is a odd mix too, early 20 somethings and over 40's. I have been here 4 times, but with all the other great options in Perth and Northbridge, this is not one I choose to go to unfortunately
Okay, while it isn't necessarily Perth's only rootop bar, it is convenient, particularly since it is on top of the entrance to the Perth Underground station. As a bar it's not bad, and it is partially undercover, which means that even if it is raining you can still enjoy a night up here. We found some rather comfortable seats around the side, which was also a bonus. There were some good beers, and the staff were okay. However, the bar isn't certainly does have a charm about it, even if it were basically a somewhat classier charm that I am generally used to, or comfortable with.
Every time I go to shop in the city, I always pop into the Aviary Roof Top Bar for a drink and a snack. It is always abuzz with people and the casual vibe and atmosphere makes it a great escape from the shopping in the city. Great views, always sunny, large range of drinks to choose from which are reasonably priced considering its location. Bar/finger foods are great. Friendly & efficient staff.
Great bar and great view of the city! Really great atmosphere and with the train station right below it is a really easy place to get to, especially if you plan on having a few drinks. Unfortunately drinks are the only real issue with this place as they are expensive! That is a bit of a downer so if you're strapped for cash best to come here after pay day. Otherwise the food is fantastic and the staff are super friendly.
