We enjoyed a 5 night stay in this lovely resort. The staff were friendly, the accommodation clean and the rooms spacious. We had a large two-bedroom with views over the river.
The heated swimming pool and spa were fantastic during the seasonally cool month we stayed.
We were really happy with our choice of accommodation - particularly after leaving an iPod in the room and having it returned in the mail a few days later.
When we arrived at the Esplanade Resort and Spa in July 2010 our initial impression was that it looked like a professional tidy modern place to spend a few days , whilst boosting a four and half star rating we had been looking forward to this for a while.
When we got to the desk there was no one else waiting yet the staff had to attend to looking after their children who were running around before we could check in. During the check in we had the privilege of listening to the staff swear and complain about having to work in the evening at the in-house restaurant.
