Was quoted for a new gearbox for my power broom about 6 months ago. Went in today to get it and found the price had risen from $300 to $500 and the salesman played dumb about why, offering me some obviously False story. I purchased the gearbox from another Stihl dealer at the $300 price. I will spend my money elsewhere in the future.
Warranty is useless, Japan made does not mean quality anymore? Bought a Japan made Echo hedge trimmer from them in April, the machine stalls in September, took it back, picked it up after many days wait, the problem wasn’t fixed and even very hard to start sometimes. The staff asked me to talked to the boss, the boss was busy selling products to new customers, waited a long time, the boss just left and never returned, no replacement or refund offered, the only thing they could do was to try to fix the machine again, at Bunnings at least you can change or refund, in the end had to trade in the 5 months old trimmer for almost half of the original price to buy a different brand.
I found the service to be deplorable. I pre ordered an Echo Brush Cutter and unexpectedly popped in to pick it up. One guy was on his phone texting and the other guy looked me up and down with disdain. There was no effort to assist with the equipment, obviously $700 spent wasn’t worthy enough of their assistance. Word of mouth is powerful and I won’t be recommending this business to anyone intending to purchase anything mower/ garden tool related.
I was shopping around for a new Rover self propelled mower. Rang these guys to ask about the new model and was told "have to come and have a look". Didn't seem to know anything about the mower or the price. Took my $1000 and spent it same day at a mower shop in Enoggera who answered all my questions on the phone so I went straight down and purchased it. I will never have anything to do with this store. Should learn the meaning of customer service.
