The PEAR DAY SPA has the WORST SERVICE you will ever find in a business. After finally squeezing me into a suitable time slot (2 weeks out from the appointment) they changed my times at the last minute without notifying me and then assumed there was a problem with my phone for not receiving there 'call'. Vanessa (the Owner) was completely arrogant about the whole situation and placed the blame on my shoulders. As I booked through Scoopon I decided it wasn't worth my troubles and wanted a refund. She didn't give me the refund and so I walked away extremely annoyed at the lack of service and I was out of pocket over $100!!
The whole experience was ironic as they are meant to specialise in relaxation and peacefulness but I was left completely STRESSED out over the whole ordeal! DEFINITELY avoid this place!
My boyfriend bought a $240, 2 hour spa package for both my mum and myself as a gift for Christmas. We showed up to our appointment and we had somehow been double booked which is a large oversight considering the appointment was for two people having a 2 hour package at the same time.
There was hardly any apology and the staff who worked there had no idea what was going on. We politely asked for our money back as we would not be able to make it in another time as we were going overseas and we were so put off by their lack of organisation andread more
Have to agree with the one review so far, Would be the worst massage experience i've had and have had better in a shopping centre. Rooms had walls that dont go to the ceiling, so could hear the person on reception and another one talking. Then for some reason when the reception wasn't manned the person massaging me had to stop to go and see to people coming in (4 times). To cap it all off I was aware that I was only being massaged with one hand at various times and thought the person was texting as heard something being put down on the table. When they did leave the room on one of the four occasions I took the eye mask off to see it wasn't a phone but a coffee she was drinking. This was also the management. Definitely not a luxury day spa!!!!!!!
We know massages are relaxing experiences provided by lovely staff. This, however, doesn't seem to be known by The Pear day spa.
From unfriendly staff to hair pulling & hard (head!) thumping during the 'massage', there's nothing relaxing about the massage here.
I don't know what else to say, except 'stay away'!
