Don't believe the hype. Not worth the time. Sorry, but this place is kind of insulting to any customer base.

I went to THE RECORD EXCHANGE and the prices for DVDS, records, CD’s and other items were fantastic. I found the staff members to be helpful, polite and patient. Everything I bought had excellent prices for items that were in a very good condition. You can also trade and sell items to THE RECORD EXCHANGE for cash or other items in the store. I would highly recommend THE RECORD EXCHANGE for your trading, selling and buying needs.

I have been an avid vinyl addict for the last 3 years and have visited vinyl shops from Tasmania to Melbourne to Sydney to Sunshine Coast to Cairns and have purchased often off ebay and Discogs, so i consider that I have a fair knowledge on vinyl and what a reasonable price is. After having visited the Brisbane Record Record exchange, all I could was shake my head in disbelief at the prices being offered. Across a wide range it seemed most things were overpriced, but two records in particular were nothing short of blatantly trying to rip the unknowing customer off. The Beatles "Love Songs" 2 xLP at $160 was an absolute joke. Anyday on ebay or discogs with postage you can get this LP for half that price, in "mint" condition. Wings "Venus and Mars at $60 for a "mint" copy was also a joke. Again, ebay or discogs you can get this at half the ...read more

I recently went in and though some records were quite pricey I found alot of them to be very reasonable. I went up to the old man and he was open to negotiate the price of a mint condition sgt peppers which was $50 down to $35. Really it all comes down to the pressing and condition of the record and a little persistence with bartering. As a side note I quite like the piles of records strewn around, you never know what youll find.

I have been dealing with this family business for a number of years. The owners are very professional and are full of knowledge with respect to all things music. The store is stocked with both new and pre-loved vinly records of all types of personal musical styles and preferences. There is nothing you cannot find in the store. The store also stocks CD, record players, posters, music cloths,DVD, VHS and musicial instruments. Richard the owner and his staff always go the extra mile and providing their experience and value for money on all purchases that I have undertaken. With respect to trade-in of pre-loved music, I have found them to offer the best prices. Some record stores only focus on certain musicial artists. This store has thousands of records in stock - all at different prices based on the condition of record. I have shopped all over Brisbane for records but for both service, price, range and quality service, this store is the best in Brisbane. The negative comments ...read more

Poor pricing, poor quality, and poor display. Be careful of this shop.
