WestinMelbourne is a lovely hotel. I'm a sucker for the heavenly beds, so this is a nice choice if I want to splurge for a night out in town. The rooms are spacious with modern furnishings, which I like. . I've also been to a number of events at the Westin and have been impressed with the event space and catering.
I have stayed here a number of times and am always happy with the hotel. The location is perfect, in walking distance to many shops and restaurants. The rooms are modern and clean and bathroom is spacious. In the lobby you can find complimentary magazine and newspapers and you can have high tea too. A great place to stay.
We're going back for a fourth time to the Westin Melbourne in a couple of weeks time. Well located near the yarra this is a lovely hotel to stay in when in town. The fit out is a little older than the other starwood in Melbourne (Sheraton), but room sizes generous and if you plan to have dinner near crown end of the city its a better option.
This is a good function venue. It is very easy to get to - located right at the corner of Collins and Swanston Street, only a few metres from the tram stop and a block from Flinders Street Station. The grand entrance is set back from Collins Street along a driveway. The conference rooms on level 1 are various sizes and well signed. The room chairs and decor are good, nice temperature and a/c not obtrusive. The catering is very good, with excellent service - I attended a breakfast function and the range of food was pleasant, nice quality too. Coffee and tea are enjoyable - a Nespresso machine and good quality tea. Overall, it's a good venue. I'd come again.
