Our most recent experience was characterised by a refusal to supply our desired order from the menu (because we wished to pay more than any breakfast menu item for a selection of extras). Then, when we did select a menu item, they did not deliver it as described. Then, when we complained, they reluctantly apologised; but, did not offer to supply the corect order or to refund the price of the half-eaten meal. Other cafes and restaurants in Thirroul provide a much higher quality of experience and cuisine at much more reasonable prices.
The management of this "Kiosk" are not only UNBELIEVABLY RUDE, they have an OVERPRICED menu of HORRIBLY PREPARED FOOD, which they market as gourmet and have managed to EXCLUDE many people who have come to Thirroul Beach with their families. They have turned a kiosk, which is there to serve all classes within the community, into a restaurant. A restaurant does not belong in a public kiosk. They have made it abundantly clear that the takeaway arm of their business is second class, by assigning a takeaway section that is only about 2 square metres in size.

Approx 1 year after last attempt at a cyclist's pit stop here [gave up as they couldn't repair the coffee machine after 25 mins of 'nearly done...'] 2 of us visited on a June public holiday. Having heard about refurbishment, we wanted to give the place another try. It was brilliant weather, with many families AND cyclists out and about, but this cafe was almost deserted, i.e. just 2 customers before we tried to become numbers 3 & 4. We were told by a serving person we would be served only if we 'parked' our bikes somewhere around the end of the building - apparently out of sight & no mention of security. Then it transpired that this place believes it also owns the space in front of the coffee shop [waterside], so it was also forbidden to spoil their 'look' having bikes on view there as well! ...read more
Newly refurbished Cafe with very rude staff - don't bother turning.
"We have a look here [from the beach front?] and bikes spoil that!"

Oh - I always look for bikes out the front of coffee shops when travelling - guess what they always have great coffee because if they dont the bike riders just go to the next coffee shop :-)
