The outside garden is beautiful to sit in and the drinks are good It's typical hearty, meaty European food.
I had the duck. It was literally half of a duck, so it was a good portion size. Unfortunately, it was a touch overdone. Most of the skin was crispy which was a positive at least. It was served with some cabbage which was the only vegetable component, and these strange"dumplings". These tasted like white bread straight from the supermarket shelf cut into pieces. It was bizarre, definitely not the dumplings I was expecting.
That said, drinks were good. I think I just came in with the wrong expectation. Big portion sizes and a good selection of beers, make this the perfect choice for a laid back casual dining experience.

Food wise sizes have shrunk and prices have gone up,the wait is long but the food is still good! But after this incident I doubt I will be back
I have only found out of Tommy's Beer Cafe a few weeks back and I feel like I have been missing out. We visited this place one Saturday afternoon. From the outside it looks like a old run-down vintage restaurant with little time to live, and when we entered no one was there and the bar on the left side of the shop was even unattended. Then a few seconds later someone came in and told us that there are a lot more seats at the back, including the outdoor biergarden area.
So we walked to the back and there it was: the biergarden. It was more like someone's old backyard with a carport but it was spacious and it somehow felt very cosy and comfortable. The staffs are also very friendly and courteous and adds up to theread more
