A complete scam electrician. Do not go with this electrician

It was a complete rip off. They said they had to do a diagnostic, which cost 473 dollars - and then to repair the fault would be 7000 $. We found another electrician and ended up paying 500 $ to replace the powerpoints.

They advertise themselves as 'Local Electricians' not Universal Electricians', hence why I didn't find reviews till it was too late! Complete rip off! They quote a $50 call out fee, which you are forced to sign a form accepting it before they actually tell you that for them to proceed, you need to agree to paying for a $490 'diagnostic test', which by the way is actually $539 as they don't mention it doesn't include GST till you have to pay. Once they 'diagnose', for anything else you need to pay even more. I was completely ripped off by this lot. Also as mentioned in a number of other reviews, my board was also 'non- compliant'. I almost had a heart attack when I was told the exuberant amount they wanted to make my board 'compliant'. Complete rip off....

Unfortunately our experience is depressingly similar. My elderly mother rang this company as it was marketed as local, although they are located in NArrabeen and she is in the Hills District. She was quoted $620 to replace a bathroom XL Tastic, which is no more than $200 in materials. She agreed to this price but when it came time to pay was then told GST was additional. Whilst there the electrician also checked the main board and told her it was non compliant and dangerous. She was quoted $3275 to replace the board, again overpriced as materials are about $500. My husband, who is a builder, had already looked at the bathroom job and could have repaired it with 3 pop rivers, as the unit worked fine, just the clips had broken. Unfortunately we were away when the unit dropped and my mother felt she had to get it fixed immediately. USE THESE PEOPLE AT YOUR OWN RISK!! When I read the reviews below I am not surprised I am not surprised as they charged my Sister $539.00 for 1/2 hours "work" which consisted of re-setting an ELCB (2 seconds to flick a switch) and to "perform a diagnostic and test passed" All in all the person was at my home for 1/2 hous. Since then I have called their office no less than 5 times, spoken to 2 different people who both said they would look into the issue and get back to me but NO return call. All I can say to anyone thinking of using their services - DON'T.
