Valley View Restaurant & Reception Centre

First of all we got a great deal - high tea for 4 people at $115 with 2 bottles of sparkling wine is very decent for Perth. We spent a small fortune on taxis there and back but even so we all thought it worth the cost and effort for a birthday event. We usually go to the Hyatt's all you can eat/drink high tea which a totally different scene so this was a nice alternative out on the Swan Valley winery tourist trail watching the horse and carriage tours go by.

The scones were divine, the quiches very nice with buttery pastry and the desserts were beautifully presented. I had forgotten to tell them in advance that one of our party is alergic to onions but they didn't blink, they just made a new batch of savories for her without onions.

My only slight issue was that we had to ask a few times for more hot water in the tea pots but they're probably used to people being more interested in the sparking wine :-).

I saw a voucher online for the Valley View restaurant, I was a little hesitant as had heard bad things about it in the past, but as it had been taken over by new management I thought I'd give it a try. It was a voucher for ribs and wine, which always go down well in my house! We booked for a Saturday night and were warned there was a function on and that we would have to sit in the alfresco area, but that was absolutely fine. I was pleasantly surprised. The services was excellent and the food was great. Our waiter was very efficient and although he was under the pump, even had time to make jokes with my 4 year old. The only down side was the portion of ribs and chips for 2, was a little on the small side for my family, my teenage boys could have eaten one each. At least we still had room for pud! A really pleasant evening and great value.

We had our wedding reception at Valley View Restaurant in December 2013. From the time we booked Chris, Steve & Deb were always available to answer all our questions. Chris was always professional, friendly and very accommodating of all our special requests. We had guests with special dietary needs and Chris and his staff were able to assist with menu choices to accommodate them.We had the hottest day in December, 42C, and many of our guests commented on how much they appreciated the staff bringing them inside to the air-conditioned reception room.Even though the wedding party arrived over 30mins late to the restaurant, the staff were very welcoming, the meals were amazing, the staff were very attentive to all the guests. We attended a High Tea at the Valley Restaurant this Sunday.



It was excellent. It is well priced. We had excellent service and the High Tea was amazing. It was well presented and the food awesome.



I am so glad I am having my wedding there next year.



Well done.
