Verity's lifetime love of children and interest in psychology initiated her pursuit of String Pedagogy and as a private tutor to over 100 beginner - grade 7 violin and viola students from age 2 including special needs. She is known as a highly motivated musician and string teacher with a patient, genuine care for each student. Familiarity with Suzuki, AMEB, Muller Rusch, Kodaly, Dalcrose, Kindermusik, Trinity College, Orff and Colourstrings programs has led to Verity's passion for developing full potential in her students and provided her the ability to tailor teaching to the needs of the individual.

Verity is a GREAT teacher. I began lessons with Verity over a year ago, as a mature-age student (60+) who learnt violin while at high school, but then left it for raising a family and becoming a piano teacher! But I did always hope to return to the violin and Verity has helped me do just that....she is patient, understanding , makes lessons fun, but at the same time is strict when needed , and helps me work to a plan for improving technique as well as playing music that I enjoy.
Verity is a delightful teacher; patient, cheerful and positive. She exposes her students to a broad range of music and organises opportunities for them to play public performances. She demonstrates an enormous commitment to her students and goes above and beyond in all aspects of her teaching. My son is lucky to have such a warm and dedicated teacher!
Our granddaughter totally loves Verity's lessons. It is the highlight of her week and she is SO focused! This focus has even transferred to her school work, drastically improving her grades. This is a tribute to Verity's enthusiasm, dedication and passion. She is an understanding, supportive and helpful teacher and she makes lessons so much fun. She is so IN TUNE with her students and a true professional.
