West Coast Pet Care Centre opened its doors in 1994, since then we have undergone many transformations from accommodation style and services provided to the number of pet care professionals working for us. All these changes have led to modern, world-class facilities to keep pets comfortable all year round, qualified and experienced staff, and services for those pets requiring additional care due to age, illness or behavioural issues.
We have designed everything to ensure your pet will have as good a holiday as you.
Our facilities are completely enclosed keeping our guests safe from outside weather fluctuations, all buildings are fully heated, air conditioned and protected from outside noise keeping our guests relaxed and happy at all times. We also supply comfortable stay dry bedding in all rooms, super premium dry food, all food and water bowls, as well as litter trays and scratching posts in all feline rooms.
Our cat hotel allows our feline guests the comfort and security of their own private (or family) room free from the sight and smell of other felines while still allowing plenty of room for isometric exercise and views outside overlooking the koi fish.
Our newest dog hotel includes underfloor heating, automatically filling waterbowls and platform beds (which tend to be ignored for the warm floor in winter!), as well as indoor exercise yards to allow us to exercise our canine guests all year round without the concern of inclement weather.
We also have staff able to train your dog during their holiday so you can go away and come back to your canine companion having better manners and obedience, or greater confidence and less reactivity than when your holiday began. Wouldnâ??t that be nice!

LOVE sending my dog here. It's not cheap, but I'd much rather spend the money knowing my dog is going to be well looked after by dog loving PROFESSIONAL trainers and carers, then at some cheap nasty kennel. Besides, the staff know my dog, both her and the staff get so excited coming here, she doesn't even say goodbye to me anymore! And they have gone way out of their way to even send me a couple of pictures to put my mind at ease while I am away :) Recommend to everyone! Keep up the good work guys!
Had all of my 4 furbabies stay at West Coast over the weekend while I was busy with wedding fun. It is always hard finding friends and family who are prepared to take on two crazy GSP, put time aside to exercise them and keep on top of their manners. I can breath easily and not stress about them while they are there, the staff are good at handling the crazies. Plus they come home tired which allows me another day of semi peace! I do feel you get your money worth, even paying for the extras. The cats on the other hand are fairly happy to just sleep all day, so I know they enjoyed themselves not being bothered by the crazies in the evening.
They all will be back soon, especially the crazies to wear out the staff.
I unfortunately had to go into hospital for a knee operation and didnt feel I could properly care for my 9 month old Shepherd while recuperating. While searching for suitable options I came across the West Coast Pet Care site, what can I say, it was such a god-send.
Not only did they take fabulous care of my boy while I recovered, but he also worked with their trainers to improve his manners and general obedience. When I went to collect him I got back a very happy and healthy dog that was so much calmer and more relaxed than when I dropped him off, and he was working so well showing off all his new skills andread more
Terrible service. Not informed of additional 'compulsory' charge of $7.70 per day as my dog was over 10 until it was too late to change booking. This industry should be regulated. Beware - make sure you have confirmation of bookings and cost in writing immediately. They are not at all interested in taking responsibility for their below average service.
