I ordered the bed at moorabbin branch and paid deposit. It's been six months now, every time I called their office, I was told they would call me when they had stock. Today I called again and was told they changed the management, whatever, I wouldn't get my deposit back. I rang customer consumer affairs. They said they received lots similar calls and they couldn't do anything either.
Still no bed and no satisfactory response from Whitehorse Furniture and Bedding. It's now been nearly 6 months since I purchased this on 12 May 2013. Lodging a VCAT application seems to be the only way forward now and they still don't seem to care or respond appropriately!
I ordered a bed from Whitehorse furniture. At the time the staff I spoke to said it would be in within 3-4 weeks and that i would get a call from them when it was ready to pick up.

I'd suggest you contact consumer affairs as I have. This seems to be a pretty common occurrence for this store. I'm still waiting too - it's now 5 months!
I have been waiting for my couch for a long time. There was absolute no certain date given to me but it was promised that i should receive it in 3 months. And right now every time i call, they would tell me they don't know. What is this! I will never ever buy anything from the store again
A month on and still no bed. Despite numerous calls to Whitehorse Furniture Head Office and asking to speak to the management I finally get to speak to them after three months of trying and they said I'll call you back tomorrow after Ive checked things - despite two more calls nothing! I cant believe the disrespect this company has for its customers. I have now lodged a formal complaint with Consumer Affairs - be aware guys if you buy from this company if could be quite some time before you get what you pay for - if at all.....
