My washing machine was in need of repair. I rang another agent in town, who came highly recommended, but he couldn't attend to my job for a week. As it was a washing machine, I needed it repaired as soon as possible. I then rang Wilson's. What a mistake that was! 5 weeks he had my machine. I would ring constantly to chase it up, the staff in his office, does not have any customer service, and would continually keep putting me off in regards to an expected date to have my machine back, excuses were the parts have just arrived, he hasn't had a chance to put parts in yet, parts are on a back order, can't find the problem etc. I would remind her of the previous call that they had told me that the parts had arrived and would be even ruder again. I wasn't impressed with the staff from Wilson's when first came to my home, but when they finally brought my machine back, rang early in the morning, as in 7am, told me they would be at my house in an hour with myread more
My dryer broke under warranty and westinghouse use wilsons, they were rude and gruff with no people skills, being a tradie we can forget about that. The worst thing was they came and took my dryer 3 times and returned it each time saying it was fixed, for me to put it on over 6 hrs and still have wet clothes, in the end i called westinghouse and asked for another repairer and was without a dryer for 3 months in the end.
This job was started and completed in April 2011. Firstly the complaint was of a screech noise. A motor was replaced 4 days later. Two weeks later the complaint was that the dryer wasn't heating and an electronic board was fitted. As for performance of the dryer, the design and misoperation needs to be taken into consideration.
DO NOT get anything repaired by this company.
I had my freezer repaired 2months ago my freezer is broken again. I sent the company an email stating that I needing a repair ergently as all of my frozen food had started defrosting and I was extremely dissatisfied. My partner rang them to arrange a time for the repair to be done, they arrived 2hrs late (fair enough they probably had other jobs to do however I would have called if I was an 1hr late) then checked the fridge and freezer in doing so they pulled various objects away and they crashed to the floor several times. Then when they figured out what the problem was after being here for a total of 5mins they said that none of the work that was previously done was the fault and they should charge a service fee then walked out when they walked out they commented on the email I had sent them how it wasn't very nice.......of course I was going to be upset when I had already had my freezer repaired 2months prior.
I understand you are disappointed but we sometimes recommend older appliances are not repaired. We think this is the right thing to do. Otherwise people can end up paying a lot of money only to have other things go wrong. In your case, the original repair was to replace parts which had been chewed by mice. Two months later it was found your GE sbs had a compressor problem. Note that we never give exact times for appointments. It is just too hard to know how long each job is going to take.
This business is very unprofessional I would recommend you take your business elsewhere. I bought a second hand dishwasher off them with a 12month warranty and was assured the mechanical parts were brand new. The dishwashers motor burnt out before the 12months was up then motor they replaced it with burnt out 3 months later. Wilsons Washing Machines and Refrigeration took the dishwasher away when I wasnt there promising my housemate it was under a new warranty and would have it back in two weeks. They never returned it then refused to give the dishwasher back unless I paid $111 for the motor which was under warranty. They have kept my dishwasher because I refuse to pay for something that broke under warranty and will no doubt resell it for $300.
Unfortunately, I think these comments are more a reflection of the writer's attitude than anything Wilson's did or didn't do. Mostly this is all just untrue and it upsets me that people who don't get something for nothing get free range to be vindictive on sites such as this.
