I don’t often complain or write a review ever but I got a free voucher for mother’s day for a cut and blow dry which was great didn’t have a problem at all ..
I did go in a few days later to buy a milkshake yoghurt treatment and was charged $33 when the price said $25 I went back but she just said oh someone’s marked it wrong ... in fact all websites sell this for $25 so I do believe it was correct .... I left anyway didn’t want to make a big fuss over $8 so brushed it off
Booked in for a all over colour tint and a blow wave ...read more
It was nice to see that my original complaint was handled courteously and professionally by Lorna and her staff. Rare nowadays that people treat your comments with respect and I am so pleased with the end result.
Lesson learned, communicate affectively and you will get a fair hearing.
Thank you Melissa for my wonderful cut and colour, so very very happy.
I recently went to Zumay as I had heard good things in the past and was looking for a new regular.
The colour I got was really good and exactly what I was after, however there was quiet abit of dye left around my hairline but that's not too much of a concern.
What I wasn't happy about was the cut, I showed a photo of what I was after and when the hairdressers asked me how it was I asked if we could go shorter please. She went abit shorter but still clearly not as I showed in the photo.. I felt like we were not getting anywhere so left it at that (I also had another appointment to go to by this time).
I could forgive this as these things sometimes happen and wouldn't judge a business on this, however how a business response to this is where their trueread more
STAY AWAY! After 8 years as a loyal customer who had never complained I had 2 problems with the same girl, I will not call her a hairdresser. The second one involved a cut that the hairdresser who's fixing it just shakes her head at. She cant understand what this girl did. I asked for a trim, straight across, she suggested an angled cut, I said - no, just a straight trim, I'm trying to get it longer so I can tie it up. The resulting all over the place, chunks left, chunks removed, uneven, stray bits cut she consciously blow dryed to hide it. After I left she broke down, saying it was so bad she would get the sack. She didn't - I DID!! I was contacted and told I was no longer welcome at the salon. It's sad to see this once thriving business dying, 2-3 customers at a time. You used to have to book weeks in advance even for a shampoo. The way I was treated is a recipe for business collapse. Such a shame.
