  PARKLANDS COTTAGE INC. is a Home & Community Care (HACC) Service. We receive our funding from the Department of Social Services through the HACC Program. Kempsey Shire Council generously provides our premises. We have a Management Committee made up of committed local people who oversee the running of the service. Additionally, we receive support from a number of community organisations. The service is available to older, frail people and those experiencing memory loss, who live in their own homes or self care accommodation within the Kempsey Shire. We work with and support the carers of our clients enabling them to have a break. We are open 4 days per week Monday through to Thursday. Clients have the choice of a variety of activities including, bingo, cards, quoits, craft, board games, sing-a-longs and hand massages in a friendly, supportive environment. Morning tea and lunch are provided and specific dietary requirements are catered for. We do ask for a contribution towards the cost of the service, but no one is refused because of financial difficulties. Read more
