A must at the Queen Victoria Market. Always busy. Always fresh. Always tasty. Eat outside and be entertained by local buskers.
  • Cooks' Cottage

    Tourist Attractions East Melbourne, VIC
A step back in time! An insightful look into life in colonial times. The staff whom were dressed in period costumes were delightful and it was great fun to dress-up in costume as well.
  • Echuca Holiday Houses

    Serviced Apartments Echuca, VIC
Quite quaint and clean and tidy. Reasonably priced and all the usual anemities including a pool at the back. A bit of a walk into town.
  • T G I Friday's

    Restaurants Epping, VIC
Only been here once and that was enough! I found the wait staff to be pushy and food was very average and expensive.
  • Puckle St Bakery Cafe

    Bakeries Moonee Ponds, VIC
Reasonably priced and freshly baked! Service is prompt. The bakery has been here for years and is always busy. Plenty of tables to sit and enjoy your food.
  • Oz Maze

    Travel Agents Echuca, VIC
Loads of fun!! It takes a good hour or more to complete the maze and the accompanying quiz which is based upon Australia as name suggests. You may even learn a few fun facts about out great country!
  • Railway Club Hotel

    Pubs & Bars Seymour, VIC
Waiting staff are very hospitable and helpful. Meal servings are generous and reasonably priced. Large bistro area and plenty of room for large groups. Ample parking out the front and back.
  • St Mary's Cathedral

    Churches Sydney, NSW
Saint Mary's Cathedral, truly is a maginificent and beautiful church. The stained glass windows are lovely and the building has an old world charm. I felt a sense of wonder, awe and reverence entering the Church. Whilst visiting, I was lucky enough to hear the choir rehearsing and the singing was divine. At Christmas there was a lovely manger display just outside.
  • Wheel of Brisbane

    Tourist Attractions South Brisbane, QLD
Great views of Brisbane. $20 may be pricey for some, but it is cheaper that similar attractions elsewhere. Nice to sip sparkling at top of the wheel whilst listening to audio and taking in the views. Worth doing if you are tourist.
  • Reading Cinemas Epping

    Cinema Epping, VIC
We have been going to this cinema for years. It is great that it is only $10 per session now every day of the week. Gold Class is great and seats comfortable, although food from the bar is quite expensive. Staff are always courteous and helpful. Sound is a bit loud but I guess it is at most cinemas.
  • Museum Victoria - Immigration Museum

    State Government Melbourne, VIC
Affordable and educational outing for the whole family and easily accessible by public transport. There are several different rooms depicting different stages of Australia's immigration history. Displays are realistic so you can get a feel of how life was for the early immigrants. Fascinating!
  • Flying Tarts Bakery and Cafe

    Bakeries Kinglake West, VIC
Very popular and less than an hour's drive from Melbourne if looking for an outing on a Sunday afternoon. Wide verandah's outdoors so you can eat outdoors and enjoy the scenery. Pies are yummy and everything is baked fresh. Afterwards you take a walk up through the national park and have a stunning view of the city of Melbourne from top of the Mountain.
  • Doyles on the Wharf Take Away/Bistro

    Restaurants Watsons Bay, NSW
A great day out to catch the ferry to Watson's bay and have fish'n'chips on the foreshore. Doyle's was very popular with people lining up as soon as they hopped off the ferry. The servings were generous and the fish was very fresh and very tasty! Loved the plum sauce!
  • Royal Botanic Gardens Sydney

    Parks Sydney, NSW
Absolutely Gorgeous!! You cannot beat the views of the harbour from top of the hill at the Botanical gardens! The views are stunning!! The gardens are simply lovely. A great place to take a stroll along the water front or through the gardens. It gardens seem to go forever and there is always something happening! Could go back time and time again!
  • Coffee Pitt

    Cafes Sydney, NSW
Called in here for coffee a couple of times during a recent trip to Sydney. The coffee was reasonably priced considering it was central CBD and tasted fine. Coffee also came with choice of toast for an extra $1.00. I chose sour dough toast which came with butter and jam. Good value, I believe! The place seemed quite busy and was obviously popular!
  • Stihl Shop Seymour

    Hardware Stores Seymour, VIC
The staff person whom I spoke to at Stihl was very helpful and happy to explain to a non-tech, non-handy person such as myself. Thanks!
