  • Miller & Lane Dental Surgery

    Dentists Sydney, NSW
Dr Lane is an excellent dentist. I followed him to Macquarie Street from the suburbs as it can be so hard to find a dentist you not only like, but also trust and who doesn't charge the earth.
  • Mamma Teresa Italian Restaurant

    Restaurants Kingsford, NSW
I had an early dinner here with 2 friends and we all thoroughly enjoyed our meals. I was a little hesitant in going there as I'd heard horror stories from friends, but was pleasantly surprised. The decor appeared to have been updated since I was last there 12 months ago, and our waiter was attentive without being overbearing.

I had the spaghetti gamberi which was delicious, as was the garlic bread. Overall we were happy with the service and the food and I wouldn't hesitate going back to try it again.
  • The Tea Salon

    Cafes Sydney, NSW
We accidentally stumbled across The Tea Salon while we were shopping yesterday. What a fabulous accident! The plan was to just have a cup of tea and maybe a scone, but after seeing the high tea platter delivered to the table next to us we had to have the whole high tea experience! The sandwiches were delicious and fresh, the selection of sweets was fabulous and then it was all topped off with our choice of a scone and tea. I chose a lavender scone which was like nothing I've ever had before. It was served with fresh thickened cream and the choice of 2 types of jam. The tea selection was extensive and it was served in gorgeous tea pots and cups and saucers. Even the plates were lovely. Needless to say we walked out feeling very full and very content! Next time we're going to try a glass of pink Moet as well! A really lovely little find in the heart of the city. We'll be back!

  • Easternian Local Star reviewed Barzura
The second last time we went to Barzura was a while ago, so we were quite shocked with the new look when we had our dinner there last week. It now feels less formal and more upbeat, which definitely matches the staff's youthful and friendly attitude.

The menu is now reduced to bare minimum, so there are less selection to indulge from. The food is average and the serving sizes are acceptable.

Price wise, I would say that they could really do some pricing review, because they are just a little too expensive for a beachside restaurant with a limited view.
    • I have to say I agree with you Easternian. I love the new look of Barzura, but the menu is smaller and it is a little pricey. But, it's a great place to go to occasionally. You certainly can't beat the view!
