Hutt St General Practice

When I rang for an appointment, the very officious front desk lady would only let me book in with ONE doctor and kept telling me no other doctors had appointments. When I went online, there were heaps of appointments with other doctors and I ended up booking with someone really nice. It makes me wonder why she kept pushing that one doctor.

I first spoke to Hutt st General Practice on the 16th of August to make an appointment for my 21 year old daughter who has Leucopenia which is a Haematological disease . I have a letter from her cancer specialist proving that she was diagnosed by him with Leucopenia .At the time of booking the appointment with the Hutt St general practice with secretary Leena I advised her of my daughters illness , her reply was that they were able to now take booking for everyone 16-39 .I informed her that , that was not the case that GPs were by government legislation only to take bookings from eligible 16 to 39 year olds she informed me I was incorrect. The next day 17th aug she phoned me to tell me I was indeed correct ,and that she needed to cancel my daughters appointment. I then reminded her my daughter as I checked with SA health as well, was eligible under government guidelines . We fully discussed her illness etc. I specifically asked Leena at that time if she required me to send through a copy of the letter from the cancer specialist she replied no that my daughter was eligible . Now only days away from her appointment again the Hutt street surgery have changed their minds and are saying- ONE minute that my daughter is not eligible ( Even though other GPs offices who unfortunately do not have appointments for a very long time have said she is eligible as does SA health line and covid line say she is eligible , and the next that the doctor over seeing the vaccinations does not want to vaccinate her .How dare anyone expect them to honor the appointments they made fully aware of all information .. In my opinion the Hutt st surgery have now put my daughter at risk by prolonging her vaccination for Covid and I have been informed by SA health by saying she is not eligible they are not following government vaccination guidelines .
