      The Altona Clinic is a locally owned and operated clinic that has been providing doctors and medical practitioners in Altona. We are an accredited clinic that also operates as a training facility for our up-and-coming general practitioners. Our range of services includes diabetic care, geriatric medicine, palliative care, minor surgery, pathology, primary care, vaccinations, and more.       Referral Letters

      As part of preventative health care and continued health care, it is the practice of this clinic to regularly engage with other health services such as specialists, allied health services and hospitals. As part of this process, your GP will provide relevant and sufficient information frequently known as a referral letter to plan and facilitate your optimum care.


      Reminders System?

      Our Practice is committed to preventative healthcare. You have the option to receive healthcare reminders that are appropriate to your care. Our practice is committed to preventative care. The doctors of this medical centre will include you on our database for a reminder for cervical screening tests, chronic disease care plans, immunisations and other preventative health care issues. If you do not wish to be part of this system, please let your GP know.


      Communication Assistance

      Patients who require communication assistance are asked to let reception staff know when making an appointment or on their arrival to the clinic for their appointment.       What are your working hours?

      We are available from Monday to Thursday from 08:00am to 06:00pm and from 08:30am to 12:00pm on Fridays.


      Parking and Disabled Access Ample car parking is available?

      You can enter our building from Blyth Street. The Blyth street entrance provides some on street parking and with allocated disability parking. A Wheelchair is available if needed.

      The current staff there are very rude and customer service is appalling. I have been going there since I was a child but service has dropped amazingly in the last few years. Service with a smile it certainly isn't! I made an appointment there for my 2 sick children under my name wanting to take them both in to see the doctor. Upon arriving I was told quite rudely, with a screwed up face that sorry that's not how it works!? I had to have made 2 appointments as I have 2 children under their names. Upon explaining that I didn't realize and that basically "look , I'm here now, can I please get my kids in to see the doctor?" Quite rudely the staff member told me that no I could only get one of them in!? "Give me one of there names I was ordered!?" I couldn't believe the lack of customer service and negative attitude. On protesting politely I was continually treated very poorly!? So much for a family doctor!? I declined the appointment and left on principle. I won't be going back there and will tell everybody to give them a wide berth.
