I'm sharing my family's experience as a caution to other parents.
The critical issues began when LifeCare unilaterally terminated my daughter's court-ordered contact in April 2025, despite over $11,000 in fees having been paid. This was done without a clear explanation and with no transition plan for my child, causing her significant distress and disrupting our court process.
When I sought a resolution through the appropriate consumer tribunal (QCAT), LifeCare's response was not to mediate, but to hire a barrister. Furthermore, in their formal response to my consumer claim, they asked the tribunal to order me to pay their legal costs.
Families in this vulnerable situation deserve a service that is transparent and fair. In my experience, raising legitimate concerns was met with a disproportionate and intimidating legal response. Based on this, I cannot recommend this service.
To be fair, the positives were that the facilities were generally clean and the staff were usually punctual for my daughter's visits.
