      Bulk Billed Medical Imaging Ultrasound Mulit-Slice CT Bone Mineral Density Scan Monday - Friday (8:30am-4:30pm)

      Rural Medical Imaging is an independent locally owned medical imaging practice We offer a comprehensive service of:Plain X-Ray OPG CT Ultrasound.All services are bulk billed through Medicare, DVA and Worker’s Comp. Most X-rays & OPGs can be done on a walk in basis. (Ultrasound & CT need to be booked). We operate an ultrasound outreach service to Tully, Mission Beach & Innisfail Nursing Home. Patients who receive a service through RMI are given a copy of their films on a CD. Most referring practitioners prefer to look at the films via the CD on their computer; however for those referrers who still like to view the images on film we can print these off on laser film for viewing. Ultrasound RMI's 2 ultrasound machines can perform all ultrasound procedures mostly within 48 hrs... Urgent studies, (referred by a doctor) are performed on the same day. Our main machine (latest GE Logic LS8) is capable of performing:All general Vascular Soft tissue Small parts Echocardiography.Our other ultrasound machine is a portable ultrasound machine (able to be taken to any Location). The studies we perform on ultrasound include: All general Small parts Soft tissue Musculoskeletal Vascular Scanning Echocardiography. Our full time sonographer performs all studies except the 12 week Nuchal Translucency scans. Our trainee sonographer will eventually take on the role of women’s ultrasound imaging; including the 12 week Nuchal scan... Multi-Slice CT RMI is proud to offer Multi-Slice CT scanning & can perform the following CT scans/procedures:All General & Contrast Enhanced CT scanning of the Head, Neck, Chest, Abdomen & Pelvis CT Angiograms with 3D reconstructions (excluding Coronary Studies) CT Dent scans – Dental Imaging Upper & Lower Extremities with 3D reconstructions– for investigation of Bony or Soft Tissue PathologyOur GE BrightSpeed Multi-Slice CT scanner acquires high detailed, fine sliced imaging of any part of the body requiring examination. The GE BrightSpeed Multi-Slice scanner delivers fast, efficient scanning times without compromising image quality & the latest scanning software and protocols. It boasts a reduction in radiation dose to patients whilst still maintaining optimal image quality. Parking Rural Medical Imaging can be found within the Rising Sun Centre, a big red brick building located at 27 Owen St. Innisfail, opposite Coles. It is Wheelchair Accessible.
