We have a team of highly skilled and dedicated professional staff that will deliver a wide range of services and care that your pet needs. Our staff are highly trained in dealing with all types of dogs and cats of all ages who want nothing more than to see your pets happy and content. Your pet will not only be safe, secure and attended to in the best possible way, but also happy and spoiled.
Austral boarding kennels is located on a 7 acre semi-rural property in Austral approximately 15km southwest of Sydney, catering for boarding for dogs and cats of all breeds. We have three large exercise areas as well as kennels that have outside yards for the overly active dogs. All our guests are provided with clean soft linen on raised bedding which are changed daily and dogs are fed with high quality food with an option of a complete raw diet.
Austral boarding has an inside cattery for boarding of cats. All cat enclosures are fitted with warm bedding and scratching posts. There are loads of toys available for play or they can relax in the warmth of the sun. Cats are fed with high quality foods such as Purina, Whiskas and other fresh foods available.

What will my cat be eating?
Cats are fed with high quality foods such as Purina, Whiskas and other fresh foods available.
What will my dog be eating?
Dogs are fed with high quality food with an option of a complete raw diet.
My dog is on medication at the moment, will you administer it each day?
If your dog requires medication whilst on his/her stay, just bring the meds with you and we are happy to make sure it is administered.
How much exercise will my dog get each day?
Our boarder dogs are given daily exercise time of 1 hour per dog as well as walks for those who are used to walks by our dog carers.

I would strongly advise against boarding your animals with this facility after the care my dog received during her 19-day stay at Austral Pets. After picking her up, I quickly noticed her behavior was off, and she had visible signs of infection and injury to her ear. I took her to the vet immediately, and we found out she needed surgery to treat her ear. There were no concerns or indications of this when we dropped her off, and it had deteriorated significantly without a single staff member noticing, despite their claims of direct contact three times a day. When we collected her, they told us how fantastic her stay had been. It ended up costing $1,200 at the vet to treat her, which could have been addressed with a standard consult had the staff bothered to take notice of her condition. We have provided management supporting documentation from our treating vet and have still been ignored.
We also faced issues from the start, including being overquoted and receiving a miscalculated invoice, which was only corrected after raising concerns. We requested photos of our dogs on two occasions, but those requests were ignored until we were told we needed to pay $5 for a basic photo. Given the substantial amount we paid for her stay, it’s shocking to be asked for more money just to check on her well-being. Both dogs returned with skin irritation and a strong urine odour which the staff tried to cover up with heavy perfume/fur spray upon collection.
Extremely disheartening to put trust into someone to care for your animal and you collect them in this state. Will not be back.

Thanks so much Austral Boarding. A first time boarder, I was a little hesitant to leave my doggy boy. I am glad I did. When I picked him up after 7 days, he had been groomed, put on a little weight and happy to see me.
I have rebooked for another visit next month

They took care of my 2 shepherds for 14 days while we were on holiday, they came back super happy and smelled like they bathed them. Staff were so friendly, dogs seemed to really enjoy their stay. Highly recommend!
