Bargara Beach Hotel

I feel bad giving this hotel/motel such a bad review because the staff were really friendly and helpful and the price was incredibly low, which should have been a red flag from the beginning. We found this hotel online and booked over the phone, believing we were staying at a hotel with a similar name that we've stayed at before. Be warned: there are three hotels/motels in Bargara with similar names. Avoid staying in this one unless you want to have a really bad experience. There were holes the size of fifty cent pieces in the curtains, the curtains didn't meet, the place, apart from the sheets, was filthy, and to cap it all there was vomit in the kettle and hand basin. The hot water also took ages to come through. I barely slept and was treated to the sound of someone vomiting in the room next door at 3am. We couldn't wait to get out of there and left as soon as it was light. I didn't know there were places that were so bad in Australia, but I've learnt my lesson now. I will check and double-check before we book in anywhere!

waited 50mins for meals, got kids fish with bones in it and the chicken schnitty was missing chicken. For $18 it was very disappointing (it was the $1 frozen chicken schnitty). got my money back on the schnitty. how did this place sink so low. pizzas used to be good now the drip oil, service is shocking, speed is ridiculously slow (we order first at 5:30pm and still took 50mins with a 2 year old)
