What are the final dates for International applications?

For the first semester intake courses which start in February, the closing date will be the first week of January.


What should I do if I have a problem with my course?

Speak to your lecturer first. If your lecturer is not available, speak with the program office coordinator or make an appointment to speak to a student counsellor.

Do you accept general or academic IELTS scores?

TAFE South Australia accepts both general and academic IELTS scores. The IELTS entry requirement is different for different courses and programs.


When will I receive my letter of offer?

TAFE South Australia aims to send your letter of offer to you as quickly as possible. Usually this is within 72 hours of us receiving your application. In some cases this may take a little longer. If there is a delay, we will advise you or your agent.


Are there any agents in my country that I can contact for assistance?

TAFE South Australia has accredited agents in more than forty countries.


What if I score less than 5.5 points on my IELTS?

You can still study at TAFE South Australia but you will need to complete an English Language Intensive Course for Overseas Students (ELICOS) and achieve an IELTS score of 5.5 (with no band under 5.0).


What do I need to apply for a course at TAFE South Australia?

You need to have completed your schooling to the overseas equivalent of Australian Year 12. You will also need to be aged 17 years or over when you arrive in Australia.

You will need to apply online to DIBP for your student visa,to do so you will need your CoE. Go to www.border.gov.au to create an ImmiAccount. It is through your ImmiAccount that you can apply for your visa.
