John is an amazing teacher, and has been teaching me for about 7 years. He’s super flexible and happy to teach whatever style you are interested in. I cant recommend him enough and there’s a reason I don’t bother going to anyone else!

My son has been taking lessons from John for a couple of years now and really enjoys the lessons and looks forward to them each week. John has kept him motivated while keeping the lessons fun and engaging. I would highly recommend John to anyone looking for a knowledgeable and patient music teacher!

John has been a wonderful drum and guitar coach for my son this year. He creates a calm, encouraging environment that makes lessons enjoyable and keeps students engaged and motivated. John is patient, supportive, and clearly passionate about music, which really comes through in his teaching. We’ve appreciated his consistency, positivity, and the confidence he brings to each lesson.

My daughter has been doing drum lessons for the past two years with John. She has improved so much and the lessons are a highlight of her week. Her confidence levels have soared and she now enjoys performing and is able to teach herself new songs using the skills John has taught her. We are looking forward to watching her improve even more in the future , cannot recommend John highly enough.

The growth that I have witnessed in my son this year has just been amazing. I have watched his talent, ability and confidence grow and that has had a lot to do with John and the effort that he has out I to my son. Thank you John for all your effort. It was great that lesson were done during school hours, in the school and times changed so he didn’t miss out on the same subjects. We will definitely be continuing next year.

John is an amazing teacher! John has been teaching my son for 2 years now. My son was a beginner drums, and thorough John’s teaching, my son is a confident and valued drummer at his school playing in Orchestra and Jazz bands, youth band and solo performances in CAPA showcases. John inspired my son to also learn guitar. John accommodates his lessons with my son to teach both drums and guitar. John is friendly and approachable and has a clear love and understanding for a range of genres in music, and uses this to support his students in their joy and appreciation for understanding music theology, practical experiences to even having a jam with them. Thankful for John and all he does!

Both of my children habe flourished under the expert tuition of John. I've particularly appreciated how flexible John has been in flowing from guitar lessons to drum lessons with one child, and from drum lessons to bass lessons with my other child. John is obviously very gifted, patient and flexible.

John has been tutoring our daughter in guitar for two years, the growth she has shown has been phenomenal and has expanded into vocals under his guidance, so rewarding to see. From the parent pov he has been a pleasure to deal, very professional and organised.

Well, Im 3 years in to my Drumming and it only gets better.

There's plenty of people out there who can teach you to play the Drums.

John isn't one of those.....

He teaches you to be a DRUMMER.

And it's a Huge difference.

Tapping the skins in time with a song or reading some music is good but if you want the complete education. John is your teacher. His combination of theory, technique, technical know how, practice and jamming - all with a view to help you become a complete musician & not just a time keeper - underpins all he does. Every single lesson is a blast...and that's just one of the many reasons I will keep coming back.
