Awful post sale experience

Busselton Motor Cycles were OK until the deal was done and the invoice paid then the service was unhelpful and at times rude . Sadly the dealer principal was the problem which doesn't reflect well for the future business culture.

I have had a few dealings with Busselton Motor Cycles and all have been bad. Living in the country limits your options. First time they had my bike for 5 1/2 weeks to replace a coolant tank. During that 5 1/2 weeks I had ordered and received parts from America within 2 weeks. When I dropped off the bike I said to James (Dealer principal) if there are any probs please call me so I can arrange a vehicle to get to work. After the due date had come and gone I phoned and was told it would be another week, again I asked to be called, this went on for 5/12 weeks without 1 phone call, seriously not 1 call.

Second encounter went like this. Had my fjr1300 in to have 4 injector o rings replaced and was told that they (Yamaha) only sent 3 although the plastic bag I spotted was clearly marked 4 o rings. A few days later I found the missing o ring stuck in the fairing. Also all the fairing bolts had been put back in the wrong places.

Third encounter (I must be a slow learner) Decided I would trade my bike on a MT 09. I rode the 50 ks to the shop, the mechanic took it for a ride and said rides perfectly. James said ok I'll make a couple of calls and call in the arvo, quess what no call. I called him 2 days latter and he said he had been busy and he would call me latter that day. Again no call back.

Apparently they have quite a reputation for this kind of behaviour so my advice is to give them a big miss. We who wish to part with our $ and support local business shouldn't be treated like this.

Purchased a new TTR50 as my kids Christmas present in September. Picked it up 2 days before Christmas. Flat battery... charged the battery, Bike still wouldn't start. Finally got bike started on Boxing day, but wouldn't idle. Complaints fell on deaf ears... complained to Yamaha Australia in writing... they sent me a pen as a "valued customer" and appreciated my feedback. What a joke !
"Why would Santa give me a broken bike?" Crappy way for an 8 year old to spend Christmas!
