With a combined experience of more than a hundred years and having moved over 7,500 used and 520 new homes, we now have extensive experience and unparalleled expertise in moving houses.
We can provide you with a seamless experience of moving into a new home that is sturdy and capable of withstanding many more movements.
Our services include the buying and selling of removal homes, which is rather an elaborate end-to-end assistance from us. Beginning the process with finding a home for removal, we follow it up with a thorough inspection and acquire the building plans and approvals. Thereafter, we make arrangements for the house to be moved to your site and install it as you would like. Finally, we connect the utilities and hand over the house to you. Besides buying and selling houses, we also provide house sliding, house re-stumping, demolition, storage yards, etc.

FAQs
Will I need a new roof?
At QHR if required will can organise for your roof and gutters to be replaced, it is our preference with older rooves to replace them and are happy to advise you.
What are the additional costs?
At QHR we will give you a breakdown of anticipated fees, these vary as to the location of your site. But rest assured once we give you a price we lock that price in and submit it to you in writing. Our contracts are in plain English, easy to understand and all are subject to council approval for added peace of mind.
Who will do my council approvals?
Leave it to QHR, we will introduce you to our Architect who will take care of everything for you; from plans, soil testing, engineering, town planning, private certifiers, council etc. He will also advise you on the performance bond your local council may require. The bond is part of your aesthetics, normally via a guarantee from your bank. It ensures your new home complies with council standards.
How far do you travel?
Not only do we travel to Far North Queensland, we go out far West and over the border into NSW. We have just recently finished a job for a customer in Ocean Shores NSW whilst one of our other crews was working out in Cloncurry.
Will you buy my house?
QHR always welcome the opportunity to view removal homes. We always offer a fair market value appraisal, after all 30 years of experience. Our purchase agreements give you a specific date for the removal of your house. So you have peace of mind knowing your site will be house free and ready for your project.
Can you stump my home highset?
QHR are happy to stump high set, the price we advertise the home for is low set @ 600mm above the ground. We can quote for high set, which is typically 2.7m above the ground which allows for car accommodation and build-in underneath.

I had my grannyflat moved in my back yard from one side to the other side by Queensland House Removers just recently. I would strongly recommend this company, as I found them to be very professional in there work& mannerisms & they did a fantasic Job & were very accomodating to my needs. The communication was very good, kept in informed with the procedures. When the job was finished they left the site very tidy & clean. I am very happy with the job they did for me & would decently use this company again for other projects.
