Do you test after installation?
All products installed are tested in accordance with AS 1530.4 and AS4072.1 generating required FRL (Fire Rating Levels) as specified by client or advisory.
Do You provide certification?
Certification to all components installed by AS Fire Management is included as part of the job.
What is vermiculite and why is it used?
Due to low density and good insulation properties exfoliated vermiculite is used in building boards. Low pressure spray applied commercial and industrial structural steel fire protection products use exfoliated vermiculite to impart a high degree of fire resistance. Exfoliated vermiculite is very efficient at retaining moisture, and in the event of a fire this turns to steam which has a cooling effect on the steel substrate and thus delays its temperature rise.
