How much does funeral cost?
It is unfortunately true that different Funeral Directors charge widely varying prices for exactly the same funeral. Some big name companies regularly charge over $12,000 or even $15,000 for a funeral that a company like ours would be able to do for between $5,000 and $7,000! Call us now for a quotation.

Lonergan & Raven were just fantastic in handling the funeral of my dear mum. This was my first time being responsible for organising anything like this, and the wonderful De Arne just came to my rescue (thank you De Arne). Her suggestions and advice were welcomed like a sea breeze on a very hot day.
Limo drivers Elf and Nigel were just great company on the way, and the catering was just superb afterwards, as commented by all those who attended.
The service was just absolutely superb. Mum was a catholic, and De Arne picked out Father Martin (I left it up to her) to lead the funeral. He came to my home, and we discussed all the fine details. He led the funeral in a very sensitive and understanding way, and a wonderful person he is.
Thank you De Arne, and a big thanks to all the other members of Lonergan & Raven Funerals that chipped in along the way. Thank you all.

We approached Lonergan and Raven because we have worked with them before, my wife being a priest of a church community in Melbourne. They have a very personal approach, found in all memebers of the team. They are contemporary yet also old worldly, something, I believe belongs to the death and dying process, especially in dealing with the body of a loved one. How do you say goodbye once they've left?
My foster sister said, yes, they're a good organisation to work with; my friends have used them and they have integrity. They certainly had patience! I started with them and gave very simple requirements. The two goddaughters then were able to participate in the organisation and the funeral became much more celebratory. This meant, L&R had to change many details over the planning week, meeting our enthusiasm with new ideas with patience and patience!
On the day we had a beautiful funeral to farewell the Uncle (everyone's uncle).
Thanks to L&R for their being like part of the family and keeping things real.

Thanks to De Arne, a beautiful send off for my partner Briony. Very easy to work with and tailor made a funeral that was perfect for Briony. Our kids were involved right from the start in planning right through to the service which everyone thought was beautiful.
Would definitely recommend to anyone.

Support and Service beyond Five Star ⭐️ by Michelle and her staff for the care and compassion and quiet achiever organisation of the Memorial service in our most traumatic emotional and fragile state. The ambiance and softness and Clifton Hill feel both inside and in the garden were such a comfort.
