United Medical Centres

I took my six week old child to the medical centre for his required check up today and was appalled at the disregard to hygiene showed by the doctor I saw.
Firstly, I was made to wait in an empty waiting room for an hour with a relative newborn child while the doctor took their time in seeing me. The doctor I was supposed to see did not have any patients in with them so I am not sure what was more important than the scheduled appointment.
Second, whilst performing what seemed to pass as a check the doctor put his unsterilized, un-glove clad finger in my child's mouth (WHO HAS NOT HAD HIS VACCINATIONS YET) to test for god knows what, from what I can see all he was doing was increasing my child's risk of infection.
Third, the six week check is supposed to follow a structure with various measurements taken and a booklet filled out as a part of the child's health record, this also was not done.

I would not recommend this service to anyone who is thinking of changing GP's. My recommendation would be to drive for an hour and go to another centre rather than go here and be treated like an obligation rather than a patient.
