20th Century did reach out post prior review and updated the bill to address the issues and to apologise for any miscommunication about the work conducted. I was happy with this outcome, although it was a shame this stance was not taken before leaving the review..

Cannot recommend 20th Century.
We had a faulty Hot Water cylinder that was covered under warranty and needed replacing. 20th Century Plumbing came out initially to do the assessment and acceptance of the fault. We had recently bought the house in the last year and the Hot Water Cylinder was inside the house. As a part of this replacement we decided the cylinder needed to be moved outside the house. The duo that came to look at it wanted to put the hot water cylinder on the side of the house in a place that would have been obstructing the drive way. When we suggested another location they were reluctant to even consider it, seemingly wanting the quicker fix option despite the obvious issue that we wouldn't be able to use our driveway past the point where they wanted to put the cylinder. No quote of cost was ever given and I was under the impression work would be covered under warranty replacement.
To try and ease the 'work' needed for this and the cost; my tradie (fabricator) partner did the work of putting in the cement slab base at the desired new location, as well as extending the piping from under the kitchen sink and terminating hot and cold to outside the house ready for the new cylinder connection (exiting it through the external wall of the house). He also located the power and drilled through the concrete house base so that he could do the power connection once the cylinder was installed). There was already the existing drain present also. See attached photo with the work we did ourselves in Red.
On the day of the work, 20th Century Plumbing were meant to arrive at 8am. By 9am they still hadn't showed, my partner called and then they came out a bit after 9:30am. Work was conducted and my partner went and checked their finished work at 1pm.
We received a bill in the mail last week (on the day it was due) for $1921 for the work. There were a number of issues. 5 hours was charged even though they were only onsite for around 3.5 which you could maybe stretch to 4 to cover the full hour. On querying this, the store said that this was what was submitted so that is what they have to go off. We were charged an Electrical cost when no electrical work was done by 20th Century. On querying this they advised that that was a mistake and was a charge for another property that accidently got put on our bill. The material charge included a replacement component that needed to be replaced in case it had contributed to the original fault - no communication was had prior that this would be needed. Whilst my partner queried this bill the store became quite short and rude. Not good service and took a bully attitude into a customer rightly querying a bill seeing as there were errors on it.
