I began my apprenticeship in 2004 and worked at a new housing based plumbing firm for 2 years. I then went on to finish my time with a small business owner who carried out a variety of different plumbing works. I was grateful that through my apprenticeship I was able to secure a very wide skill set as opposed to learning in one field. In 2009 I became a sub-contractor, learning a lot on the journey. I wanted to further my confidence and skills in customer service, as I felt it had a big impact on how well I may succeed in running a business of my own one day.
So, in 2011 I started a family with my wife and became part of a team in an elite Perth plumbing company. I was given many opportunities to gather confidence in customer service and in an array of plumbing and gas works. I was able to fine-tune my skills and plumbing knowledge in both residential and commercial work. I pushed myself to take on bigger and more complicated projects and enjoyed the problem-solving along the way. I acquired my contractors' ticket and worked alongside some of the best plumbers in the industry whilst working in the company.

What about a schedule of fees?
At Ready McGetty Plumbing & Gas, our schedule of fees consist of a minimum first hour fee and following that, a reduced rate charged in 15 minute increments. A travel fee may be included. All materials and disposables that are required for the job will be itemised for invoice transparency. This is the schedule we also incorporate into our quotes. Periodic maintenance, such as filter replacements or any routine maintenance plumbing, will come at a reduced first hour fee.
What services are on offer?
Domestic: maintenance plumbing, renovations, insurance work, stormwater. Light commercial, gasfitting and repairs. Routine: backflow device valve testing, drain cleaning, water filters (commercial and domestic), routine gutter cleaning. New housing, sustainable plumbing.
What precautions do you have in place for COVID-19?
Our technicians will stringently adhere to the government's current advice and have acquired COVID Safety at Work certificates. All PPE (masks, gloves, sanitation) will be used throughout the duration of the job. We ask that social distancing is implemented. We are using the COVID safe app as advised by the government.
Are you licensed and insured?
Ready McGetty Plumbing & Gas is fully licensed plumbing and gas business. We have relevant insurances to suit domestic and commercial work.
Is there a warranty period for work? What about parts?
The warranty period for workmanship for all of our services is six years, from date of install. The warranty period on materials and parts supplied by us is as per manufacturers specifications. All warranty cards and information will be handed to owner on completion of work. The warranty period on materials and parts supplied by owner is the owners responsibility.
What areas do you service?
We are based in Gracetown. We service the south west from Bunbury to Augusta.
Do you provide after hours services?
We currently do not offer after-hours services.
