Do you provide discount for recyclable materials?
If you have recyclable items in the bin, it is possible to get a discount depending on the amount, call for advice.
Will the bin damage my driveway?
It's unlikely, but if you are concerned you should get a few pieces of wood at least 2 metres long to place under the bin.
Can I move my bin after you have dropped it off?
Once the bin has been positioned, it's critical that you do not move it. The reason for this is that the position you move it to may not be appropriate for our truck to pick it up from (turning circles, trees etc.). Moving the bin will quite possibly twist and damage it resulting in you paying for a new one. Our driver will do his best to put it exactly where you want it. On the day of collection, please ensure there is clear access to the bin.
How full can the bin be?
Skip bins cannot be filled past the top of the bin for safety reasons. If your bin is over full when our driver arrives to pick it up, he will either remove some objects or if there is too much to remove he will leave it until you have fixed the problem. You may be charged an additional fee if this occurs. It's best to get your bin picked up as soon as it is full, as they can mysteriously fill up overnight with your neighbours items.
Can you place the bin on body corporate land or government land?
We can although you will need to arrange the permit or permission. If A1 Bins receives a complaint regarding the placement of a bin, we will come to pick it up as soon as possible. For permits to ACT government land. Nature strips are generally fine. A bin cannot be placed on a road.
Where can you place the bin?
We can place the bin wherever is convenient for you as long as the truck can safely place it, this is always at the driver's discretion. You will need around 4m clearance under things as if trees, carports etc. if you want the skip placed anywhere other than out on an open space.
What days are you open?
We drop off and pick up the skip bins Monday to Saturday, but our office is open 7 days a week for bookings and to answer any questions you might have.
Do you take credit cards?
We sure do, we take MasterCard, Visa and EFTPOS.
What time will you pick up the bin?
We try to do the drop-offs in the morning and pickups generally afternoons, if for some reason we can't pick your bin up on the specified day there are no extra fees until we can get it.
Do you remove unwanted cars?
Yes we do, just call us to arrange a pickup. Cars can be in any condition.
Can I have my bin for longer than arranged?
Yes, call us the day before it is due to be collected and we will arrange for your pickup date to be later. There is an additional charge for extending your hire period; the price depends on the size & contents of the bin. This is subject to availability.
Can I put furniture in the skip?
Yes, you can put furniture in the skip.
